NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce RTX 5090 GPU has started appearing on European store shelves, with prices ranging from €2,649 to €2,889, depending on the retailer and model. The high-end model, ZOTAC’s GeForce RTX 5090 AMP Gaming Extreme, is listed at the highest price point.
The prices vary due to VAT taxes, which can differ across EU nations. However, even without VAT, the most expensive model would still be around €2,455. This is concerning for consumers who may feel they are paying a premium tax to buy these GPUs on launch day.
Other notable models, such as Gigabyte’s AORUS Master GeForce RTX 5090 and PNY’s GeForce RTX 5090 Epic-X, retail at lower prices, ranging from €1,836 to €2,599. The mid-end GPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, also has its own list of models with different price points.
This trend is not unique to the EU market; US retailers are also known for increasing prices above MSRP during launch periods. With low availability expected on launch dates, it’s likely that prices will continue to rise, making it uncertain whether the high-end models would be worth the money and hassle to acquire.
