Nvidia has revived its Verified Priority Access program to help gamers acquire its new RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards, which have been scarce since their launch. The program allows active Nvidia account holders to buy these GPUs directly from the company, but only a limited number of users will be invited.
Launched initially during the early days of the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080, the Verified Priority Access scheme aims to beat scalpers by selling cards directly to customers. The program is now open to U.S. residents with Nvidia accounts created before January 30, 2025. Interested gamers must register their interest through a form on the Nvidia GeForce community forum.
Those who apply will be notified via email and invited to buy an RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 at MSRP if they are selected. However, the exact number of available cards is unknown, and it’s expected that this program will be highly subscribed.
For those outside the U.S., there’s no official word on when they might get access to these GPUs. The company will continue to offer stock updates for its flagship GPUs through separate guides on its website.
