Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti Launched Below $1,000 Mark

Nvidia has launched the RTX 5070 Ti, its third-fastest GPU, at a starting price of $749, marking a significant drop below the $1,000 mark. This new card is significantly faster than its predecessor, the 4070 Ti Super, and comparable to the 4080 Super.

The 5070 Ti’s performance falls within the same range as the 4080 Super and original RTX 4080, making it a suitable option for those seeking playable native 4K gaming without relying on upscaling. It may also be sufficient for high-FPS 1440p gaming.

However, Nvidia has not provided accurate pricing for its more powerful models, such as the 5080 and 5090, which have been largely fictional. If you can find the RTX 5070 Ti at this price, it might be a decent option for those upgrading or building a new 4K gaming PC. Nevertheless, it’s recommended to wait for AMD’s first 90-series Radeon cards before making a purchase decision.

Performance-wise, the RTX 5070 Ti is roughly 75% as fast as the 5080, albeit at 25% less cost. This raises questions about Nvidia’s pricing strategy and whether the new model is worth the investment. For now, it’s essential to consider the competitive landscape and wait for further updates before making a purchase.
