Nvidia’s highly anticipated graphics cards, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, are set to be released on January 30. However, reviewers won’t get their hands on these cards until January 24, according to Videocardz. The embargo dates have been pushed back due to a late-arriving BIOS, which has caused delays in the manufacturing process.
The RTX 5090 will retail for $1,999 and feature 32GB of GDDR7 memory, with Nvidia claiming it’s up to twice as fast as the RTX 4090. The RTX 5080 will cost $999 and have 16GB of GDDR7 memory. Both cards are expected to be popular among gamers, but their performance may vary depending on specific games and settings.
One notable difference between the two cards is the size of the Founders Edition models. They will be smaller than previous versions, spanning only two slots instead of three, making them more compatible with small form factor mini-ITX cases.
Meanwhile, AMD’s new RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9000 series is also expected to arrive soon, with the RX 9070 XT offering performance between the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080. Pricing for the RX 9070 XT starts at $479 for the reference card and $600 for AIB or partner models.
Stay tuned for more updates on these new graphics cards as they become available, including reviews from PC hardware enthusiast and reviewer Antony.
