An outbreak of Legionnaires’ disease in New York City’s Central Harlem neighborhood has increased to three deaths, with 67 confirmed cases of illness caused by the Legionella bacteria. The New York City Health Department is still investigating the source of the outbreak. Initially, there were 30 reported cases on July 31. The department has not disclosed further information about the fatalities.
