Ole Miss Football Player Corey Adams Killed in Tennessee Shooting

Ole Miss freshman football player Corey Adams, 18, was fatally shot in Tennessee on Saturday night outside a residence in Cordova, just outside Memphis. Four other men were also injured and are receiving treatment at local hospitals.

Adams, a defensive lineman from New Orleans, had enrolled at Ole Miss this winter and had previously earned all-state honors for Edna Karr High School.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, but no arrests have been made yet. The university has released a statement expressing its condolences to Adams’ loved ones and asking the community to respect their privacy during this difficult time.

Shelby County deputies responded to the scene and found Adams inside a car, where they provided life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived, declaring him deceased.
