Actress Olivia Munn has expressed her skepticism about Blue Origin’s upcoming mission featuring an all-female crew, set to launch on April 3. While co-hosting a TV show, she questioned the purpose of the mission and its high cost.
Munn, who is part of the crew herself, asked what the women would do in space and compared their experience to Disney’s Space Mountain rollercoaster. She also expressed concern about the environmental impact and criticized the high cost of the mission, which she believed was out of touch with the struggles of ordinary people.
The actress pointed to rising egg prices as an example of the financial burden on everyday consumers. She also noted that space exploration should focus on advancing human knowledge and helping humanity, rather than just providing a glamorous experience for a select few.
The Blue Origin crew plans to spend only 11 minutes in space, which Munn described as “a bit gluttonous.” The actress was unimpressed by the idea of the women getting glam before the flight, saying “What’s the point? Is it historic that you guys are going on a ride?”
