Lollapalooza 2025 kicked off its second day in Chicago’s Grant Park with stellar performances from Olivia Rodrigo, who made her Chicago festival debut as the headliner. Joining her on the bill were Korn, Bleachers, T-Pain, Djo, Amaarae, The Dare, and Orla Gartland.
Olivia Rodrigo wowed the crowd with her relatable lyrics, agile vocals, and infectious energy, backed by an all-female band. She played hits like “Obsessed,” “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl,” and “Driver’s License.” Her set also included a special moment when she brought out Weezer to perform their iconic duet “Buddy Holly” and “Say It Ain’t So.”
Korn, the nu-metal pioneers, made a surprise return after 28 years at Lollapalooza. Their performance was heavier than ever, with fan favorites like “Here to Stay,” “Cold,” and “Blind.” The band also paid homage to Metallica with their version of “Shoots and Ladders” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”
Bleachers delivered a timeless set, blending retro pop-rock with saxophone and catchy hooks. Their performance was highlighted by lead singer Jack Antonoff’s charm and energy.
T-Pain served up hits from his latest album, showcasing his versatility and vocal range. His set featured collaborations like Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” and Pitbull’s “Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor).”
Djo brought out old-school vibes with their fusion of Afrobeats, pop, R&B, and hip-hop. The singer-songwriter paid tribute to Chief Keef and honored Leo season during their performance.
The Dare turned the Grove stage into a sleazy electroclash party, complete with flashing lights and crowd-surfing antics. Their set featured hits like “Good Time” and “I Destroyed Disco.”
Orla Gartland’s indie pop was the perfect antidote to the chaos of the festival, with her soothing vocals and catchy hooks. Her performance ended with a feel-good anthem.
Otoboke Beaver wowed the crowd with their unpredictable dance moves and punk energy. The Kyoto-based quartet challenged injustices against themselves and others during their set.
Kenny Mason’s live performance showcased his fluid beats and positive energy. His genre-fluid sound turned heads, and his fans were more than happy to join in on the chorus.
Lollapalooza 2025 continues to deliver an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all ages.
