Samsung has confirmed that its Android 15 skin, One UI 7, will be launched on eligible Galaxy S series phones in Q1 2025. The company’s beta program was successful, with testers praising the new UI design and other features such as the “Personal Data Engine,” a “Now Bar,” and improved usability.
The update is expected to arrive for the Galaxy S24 and S23 series first, while existing devices like foldables and tablets may receive it later. Samsung highlights the success of its beta program, which filled up twice as fast as the previous One UI 6 beta. The company also notes that testers praised the updated “Writing Assist” feature.
One UI 7 is expected to bring several new features, including a multimodal upgrade for Sketch to Image and improved security through the new “Personal Data Engine.” This engine will store user data in a secure place when utilizing on-device AI services.
The update is set to launch at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22.
