One UI 8 Watch Introduces New Features to Help Users Build Healthier Habits

Samsung has introduced several new features on its One UI 8 Watch that aim to help users build healthier habits by providing instant feedback as a motivating tool. The new features include Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index.

Bedtime Guidance is designed to optimize sleep patterns and recommend an optimal bedtime based on individual lifestyle and sleep patterns. The feature analyzes sleep data from the past three days to evaluate both sleep pressure and circadian rhythm. This helps users stay consistent with their sleep schedule, especially when recovering from periods of irregular sleep.

Vascular Load measures stress on the vascular system during sleep, providing insights into cardiovascular health. Running Coach supports personalized training strategies for runners, offering motivation and real-time guidance to help users train safely for marathons. The feature also provides a performance analysis and a running level score, creating a personalized training plan.

Antioxidant Index uses an industry-first feature to assess carotenoid levels in just five seconds via an advanced BioActive Sensor. These insights can reflect behavioral changes, such as drinking carrot juice, which may result in a measurable change in the index.

These new features are designed for general wellness and fitness purposes only. Samsung recommends consulting a medical professional for advice on using these features. The features are available on Android phones running Android 10 or above, and users need to have the Samsung Health app version 6.30.2 or later installed.
