Onkyo has officially debuted its new Creator Series powered speakers at CES 2025. Initially hinted at with the company’s new branding in December, two models were revealed: the GX-30ARC and GX-10DB. Both bookshelf and computer speakers boast a similar design, featuring infrared remotes, angled bases, and simulated wood grain finishes.
The larger GX-30ARC comes with HDMI-ARC capabilities, while the smaller GX-10DB is non-HDMI equipped. Despite initial expectations of just one new model, Onkyo has released two options priced at $299 and $199, respectively. Both speakers are expected to hit the market in the second half of 2025.
Onkyo collaborated with Klipsch on their Flexus line of soundbars in 2024 and share a common parent company, Premium Audio Company. Notably, features like 4-conductor threaded cable connectors seen on Klipsch’s The Sevens speakers appear in Onkyo’s GX-30ARC model.
The Creator Series is designed for discerning music lovers, digital content creators, musicians, and gamers, promising effective dynamic range management through its DSP technology. Both models feature Class D amplifiers with sound modes, connectivity options including USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3, RCA/phono, optical, and sub pre-out. The GX-10DB boasts a 3-inch woofer and .75-inch tweeter, while the GX-30ARC features a 4-inch woofer and 50 watts of total power output.
