OpenAI has announced that it is shutting down its AI-generated video app, Sora, which was only released in September. The news comes as a surprise to users who enjoyed the six-month existence of the app.
But what’s more concerning is that OpenAI had previously planned to introduce an erotic mode to ChatGPT, a productivity tool popular among AI enthusiasts. In October, Sam Altman announced plans for the new feature, which was meant to be part of age verification updates.
However, in March, OpenAI reportedly paused its plans for Adult Mode due to challenges with “sexual datasets” and eliminating illegal content. The company now prioritizes gains in intelligence instead.
This decision marks a significant shift for OpenAI, as it had declared earlier that it would not act as the “moral police of the world.” Despite the pause, some may view this as a successful attempt to avoid controversy surrounding AI-generated content.
Additionally, users can explore other iPhone apps and features, such as Apple AirTag 2 or Beats USB-A to USB-C Cable.
