OpenAI has launched a new subscription tier for its chatbot product, ChatGPT. The ChatGPT Pro plan costs $200 per month, significantly more than the current $30 monthly charge for the ChatGPT Plus offering. This new tier provides users with “unlimited” access to the latest o1 and o1-mini reasoning models, as well as increased GPU capacity.
In contrast, lower-tier plans offer limited access to these models. The price difference reflects the enhanced features offered by the Pro plan. OpenAI has not confirmed details about this new tier, but third-party screenshots suggest it will provide users with a high level of access to its models and computing resources.
This news comes as part of OpenAI’s “12 Days of OpenAI” holiday-themed announcements, which began yesterday. The company is expected to make further announcements in the coming days.
