Oppo Find N5 Puts Foldable Tech on Thin Ice

Oppo is gearing up to launch the Find N5 as its “world’s thinnest” foldable device, with a claimed thickness of under 9mm when closed. The new device boasts an impressive form factor and shares similarities with Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold. While Oppo hasn’t released the full specs yet, our hands-on experience suggests that it’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in foldable technology.

The Find N5 has a compact design similar to Oppo’s earlier models, but with a much larger footprint than the smaller devices. The result is an impressively thin device that barely surpasses the thickness of your average smartphone when closed. When unfolded, it presents a stunning sight, showcasing the advancements in foldable tech.

The device features a matte but tacky finish on its metal frame and a frosted glass back that’s still grippy. While we can’t show you the displays yet, Oppo has clearly improved upon its predecessor, Find N3/OnePlus Open, by minimizing creases and improving overall build quality.

With its sleek design, impressive inner display, and focus on attention to detail, Oppo is cementing its position as a leader in foldable technology. The Find N5’s global launch is set for February 20, with no word yet on a OnePlus version. What do you think of the Find N5?
