Oppo has launched its latest foldable phone, the Find N5, which holds the record for being the thinnest book-style foldable phone in the world. Priced at $2,499 SGD (around $1,867 USD), it will be available in markets worldwide, excluding Europe and Asia, starting from February 28th in Singapore.
Weighing 8.93mm when closed and 4.21mm at its thinnest point, the Find N5 is significantly slimmer than its rivals. Despite its thin design, the phone still boasts a robust IPX6, X8, and X9 rating, protecting it against water submersion and spraying, but not dust or dirt.
The device comes with a 5,600mAh battery that lasts up to two days of use and supports wireless charging. The camera system features a Hasselblad-branded 50-megapixel main lens, telephoto lens, and 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Interestingly, the Find N5 will not be available in the US market due to OnePlus’s decision not to launch a foldable phone this year. The device is expected to have a competitive pricing once storage is adjusted, but its premium price tag may be a deterrent for some buyers.
