A lucky player from Oregon has won the Powerball jackpot worth $328.5 million, with a cash value of $146.4 million. The winning numbers were 14, 31, 35, 64, and 69, along with red Powerball 23, and a 2X Power Play multiplier.
This is the first Powerball jackpot won in Oregon this year, following a $256 million win in New York on December 7. The winner has the option to choose between an annuity of $328.5 million or a lump sum payment of $146.4 million.
Nationally, over 743,000 tickets won prizes, including several large winners. In Michigan, one ticket matched all five white balls and doubled its prize to $2 million due to the Power Play feature.
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states and the District of Columbia, with more than half of proceeds staying in the state where purchased. Since its debut in 1992, Powerball has generated over $32 billion for good causes.
The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9, while the jackpot odds are 1 in 292.2 million. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET, with live broadcasts and streaming on Powerball.com.
