Oregon State Beats Florida State to Win Super Regional

The No. 8 seed Beavers rallied for a 14-10 victory over top-seeded Florida State on Sunday night, advancing to the Men’s College World Series for the eighth time in program history. Trent Caraway’s grand slam and Gavin Turley’s two-run home run helped seal the win.

Oregon State (47-14-1) took an early lead after Max Williams hit a two-run homer in the first inning. The Beavers responded with three runs off starter Wes Mendes, taking a 7-2 lead by the end of the second.

Florida State scored five runs to tie the game before Myles Bailey’s two-run homer in the sixth gave Oregon State an 11-8 advantage. The Seminoles tied it again at 12-12 before the Beavers regained the lead with Brody DeLamielleure and Gage Harrelson driving in a run apiece.

Oregon State wins its first Super Regional since 2018, advancing to the College World Series for the eighth time in program history. The win marked the fifth straight victory for the Beavers over Florida State this season.
