Oregon State Beats No. 8 Seed TCU, Faces Saint Mary’s in NCAA Regional

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State Beavers will open their NCAA Regional action on Friday as the No. 8 national seed takes on No. 4 Saint Mary’s, with No. 2 TCU facing No. 3 USC earlier in the day.

Oregon State, boasting a 41-12-1 record and an 8-1-1 mark in their last 10 games, enters the regional as a strong contender. The Beavers have not played since May 15-17 when they swept Long Beach State from Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The No. 2 TCU Horned Frogs, with a 39-18 record and 19-11 mark in Big 12 Conference play, finished the regular season as the third-place finisher. The Beavers and TCU have previously matched up five times, with TCU holding a slight edge of 3-2.

The No. 3 USC Trojans, former conference members of Oregon State, lead the all-time series 59-43 in Corvallis, including a 26-26 tie in games played at home. However, they finished their regular season with a 35-21 record and an 18-12 mark in Big Ten play.

In contrast, No. 4 Saint Mary’s took the West Coast Conference title after posting a 15-9 record in the WCC during the regular season, finishing third. The Gaels have a strong overall record of 35-24.

The NCAA Regional will take place on Friday with TCU and USC playing at noon on ESPN+ followed by the Beavers and Gaels getting underway at 5 p.m. PT. All-session tickets for the regional go on sale Monday morning at 11 a.m. PT, and single-session tickets may be available on the day of the game.
