Oscar Snubs Galore: Biggest SAG Nominees Omissions Revealed

This year’s Screen Actors Guild award nominees revealed a number of notable snubs, including presumed heavyweights “The Brutalist,” “Sing Sing,” and “Nickel Boys” in the category for best cast. Other big names that didn’t receive an invite to this year’s ceremony include Angelina Jolie, Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, Sebastian Stan, Selena Gomez, Hugh Grant, Stanley Tucci, Glen Powell, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Fernanda Torres, and Felicity Jones.

The SAG nominations were announced with muted fanfare via a news release after the guild cancelled a live announcement amid the raging Los Angeles wildfires. The ceremony will stream live on Netflix on February 23rd.

Some notable snubs include Angelina Jolie’s omission from the Oscars, despite being nominated by critics’ groups and other industry bodies. Zendaya was also overlooked for her role in “Euphoria,” while Nicole Kidman missed out on a nomination for her film “Lee.” Sebastian Stan, Selena Gomez, and Hugh Grant all saw their names left off the list.

Meanwhile, some actors did receive nominations, including Colman Domingo for his role in “Sing Sing.” However, other notable actors like Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Fernanda Torres, and Felicity Jones were snubbed despite receiving positive reviews from critics.
