The 97th annual Academy Awards have concluded, and the full list of winners has been announced. “Anora” made history by winning five out of its six nominations, tying Walt Disney’s record for most Oscars won in one night.
Sean Baker, writer-director-editor of “Anora,” claimed this impressive feat after taking home awards for best picture, director, actress, editing, and original screenplay. The film also shared three other accolades with co-winners “The Brutalist” and “Dune: Part Two.”
Other notable winners include “Wicked” and “Dune: Part Two,” which each received two awards, while “Emilia Pérez” took home just two of its 13 nominations for best supporting actress and original song.
