Ohio State University (OSU) secured a convincing win over Kentucky at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City, defeating the fourth-ranked Wildcats 85-65 on Saturday evening. Bruce Thornton led the Buckeyes with 30 points, shooting nearly 50% from the floor.
In contrast, Kentucky struggled to find their rhythm, making just 17 field goals and converting only 29% of their shots. Otega Oweh scored 21 points for UK, while Andrew Carr added a dozen.
The victory boosted OSU’s record to 8-4, while Kentucky fell to 10-2. The Cats will host Brown on New Year’s Eve, while the Buckeyes welcome Indiana State to Columbus on December 29th.
