A recent Reddit thread has sparked discussion about the potential link between the weight loss drug Ozempic and increased penis size in men. While there is limited research on this topic, data from the UK and Venezuela shows a significant increase in average penis size over the past two years.
According to diabetes.co, the average penis size grew by nearly 10% from 5.17 inches to 5.63 inches between 2022 and 2024. Similarly, Venezuelan men experienced a massive increase of 24% from 1.42 inches to 6.67 inches over the same period.
Dr. Richard Viney, a consultant urological surgeon, suggests that Ozempic and similar weight loss drugs could be contributing to this trend. “As men lose weight, their penises appear larger,” he explained. However, other experts have raised concerns about the potential causes of this increase, including chemical exposure from pesticides or hygiene products.
Dr. Michael Eisenberg, the study’s author, noted that an overall change in development is concerning, particularly for reproductive health. “If we’re seeing this fast of a change, it means that something powerful is happening to our bodies,” he said. While Ozempic may be a contributing factor, it is unclear whether lifestyle changes or other factors are driving the observed increase in penis size.
