Pacers’ Haliburton Stars as Indiana Clinches 3-1 Lead

Indianapolis has taken a commanding 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals after a dominating performance by point guard Tyrese Haliburton. The 24-year-old’s game was truly one-of-one, with him becoming only the third player in NBA playoff history to have at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 15 assists in a single game.

Haliburton’s impressive display helped limit New York to just 77 points, despite controlling the boards 44-33. The Pacers’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with five players scoring in double figures and making it difficult for the Knicks’ defense to contain them.

The turning point of the game came when the Knicks struggled to regain momentum after a strong first quarter. Their 17 turnovers put too much stress on their defense, allowing Indiana to push ahead and maintain their lead.

Despite struggling at home, where they are 3-5 through three rounds, the Pacers have shown signs of life in Madison Square Garden. They are now poised to take advantage of the Knicks’ struggles and close out the series.

Other notable performances came from Aaron Nesmith, who made his return from injury with a strong effort, and Bennedict Mathurin, who scored 20 points off the bench and provided a much-needed spark for the team.

The Pacers will look to close out the series on Thursday at home, where they have won six of their last eight games. With this lead, they are one step closer to advancing to the NBA Finals.
