The Green Bay Packers secured their best overall grade of the 2024 season, earning a dominating 34-0 win over the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field on Monday night. Led by a powerful run game led by Josh Jacobs and a suffocating pass-rush led by Rashan Gary, the Packers’ defense set the tone from the start, outscoring their opponents 21-0 at halftime.
Josh Jacobs was unstoppable in the backfield, forcing four missed tackles and producing two runs over 10 yards. Meanwhile, Rashan Gary’s impressive performance was highlighted by six hurries on just 18 pass-rushing snaps, earning a top grade of 90.6 from Pro Football Focus.
The Packers’ offense also impressed, with Jayden Reed catching three passes, including a contested catch, and averaging over 3.0 yards per route run. Meanwhile, the Saints were limited to just four missed tackles by their defensive backfield.
On the flip side, the Saints struggled on both sides of the ball. TE John FitzPatrick earned the lowest grade on offense with 53.6, while DL TJ Slaton had a poor performance, earning a grade of 35.5 from Pro Football Focus.
The Packers’ defense set a new high for pressure percentage, with at least three pressures coming from six different players. The team’s pass rush has come alive over the last two games, and it was on full display against the Saints.
In other news, Edgerrin Cooper delivered an elite special teams tackle, while Chris Brooks had four missed tackles in coverage. The Packers’ quarterback play was solid, with Jordan Love completing 13 of 18 passes for 170 yards when not pressured.
