Packers Rally Past Colts In Thrilling Comeback Victory

The Green Bay Packers overcame a rough first half and a 13-point deficit to beat the Indianapolis Colts 23-19 in a wild preseason game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

In the fourth quarter, quarterback Sean Clifford led the comeback with an 11-yard scramble for a touchdown with 1:31 left on the clock. The Packers’ reserves outperformed the Colts, and the victory evened Green Bay’s preseason record at 1-1.

The first half was marked by penalties and turnovers. Quarterback Malik Willis threw three interceptions, while running back Israel Abanikanda led the ground game with 12 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown. The Packers took an early lead but trailed 13-3 at halftime after a field goal by Colts kicker Spencer Shrader.

The second half saw both teams struggle to score, until Abanikanda scored on a three-yard run with 4:19 left in the third quarter, cutting the Colts’ lead to 13-10. The Packers continued to press forward, and Clifford’s late touchdown gave Green Bay its first lead of the day.
