Legendary Green Bay Packers receiver Billy Howton, considered the oldest living NFL player, has passed away at the age of 95. Born in 1930, Howton was a pioneer of the sport, breaking records and earning numerous accolades throughout his career. A two-time league leader in receiving yards, he holds the Packers’ single-game franchise record with 257 receiving yards. Howton played for seven years with the Green Bay Packers before joining the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys, where he spent most of his career under coach Tom Landry. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and inducted into the Packer Hall of Fame in 1974, surpassing the NFL’s all-time leading receiver record upon his retirement in 1963.
