Packers Unveil 1923 Classic Uniform, Available Now

The Green Bay Packers have introduced their new “1923 Classic” uniform, a history-inspired ensemble that pays tribute to the team’s early days as a publicly owned corporation in 1923. The uniforms feature navy blue jerseys with dark gold numbers and stripes, tan pants, and navy socks.

The design is inspired by what the team wore during its first season under public ownership, which was marked by financial struggles after a weather-plagued 1922 season. Local football boosters stepped in to save the team through a stock sale, providing each player with matching navy blue jerseys for the first time.

The new collection, available in the Packers Pro Shop and online at packersproshop.com, includes the “1923 Classic” jersey as well as various apparel items such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, caps, and novelty items like pennants and pins. The Pro Shop also offers Riddell SpeedFlex Authentic helmets and Speed Mini helmets for fans to pre-order online or purchase in-store.

This marks the fifth historic uniform the Packers have unveiled in recent years, following previous designs inspired by the 1929 season, the 1940s, the 1950s, and a re-creation of the team’s uniform from 2015-19. The “1923 Classic” campaign is presented by American Family Insurance.
