Paige Bueckers Leads UConn to Dominant Win in Elite Eight

UConn’s Paige Bueckers is leading her team to the Final Four, and no one seems able to stop them. The Huskies’ 78-64 win over USC on Monday night was a dominant performance by the No. 2 seed team.

Bueckers had an impressive game, scoring 31 points and grabbing four steals, three rebounds, and two blocks. Her teammates, including freshman Sarah Strong, who dropped a casual 22 points, also contributed to the win.

UConn’s 14-game winning streak is the best in the country, and they’ve won their four tournament games by an average of 35 points. Bueckers has scored 105 points in her last three games, making her the most prolific scorer in UConn history.

Coach Geno Auriemma praised Bueckers’ performance, saying that “without those two players playing to the level that they’re playing at, you wouldn’t get to the Final Four.” The team’s determination and teamwork are key factors in their success, according to Auriemma.

UConn will face UCLA, South Carolina, and Texas in the Final Four. With Bueckers leading the charge, it’s unlikely that anyone can stop the Huskies from winning the national title.
