Pakistan Airstrikes Kill 46 People in Afghanistan

Pakistani airstrikes on Afghanistan have killed at least 46 people, including women and children, according to Afghan officials. The strikes targeted four locations in the Barmal district.

Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry has condemned the attack as “irresponsible” and vowed to defend its territory. Pakistan says its mission was to target insurgents and bomb a training facility. However, the Taliban denies any involvement in recent militant attacks within Pakistan.

Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan is on the ground to discuss issues before the airstrike. The country has blamed the Taliban for rising violence but did not directly respond to claims that the strikes killed civilians. The situation remains tense between the two countries.
