Pokémon GO’s latest event, Stunning Styles, is set to bring a host of changes, including the debuts of several new Pokémon and increased spawn rates for existing ones. The event focuses on Pokémon with multiple different forms or versions, with many having more than one type available to catch during the event.
One of the most highly anticipated debutants is Paldean Tauros, which will be available in three different variations depending on where you are in the world. Combat Paldean Tauros can be found in the Iberian Peninsula, Blaze Paldean Tauros in the Eastern Hemisphere, and Aqua Paldea Tauros in the Western Hemisphere.
Paldean Tauros will work in a similar version to regional Pokémon, but all trainers, regardless of where they are, will have the chance to catch one of them. However, it cannot be found in the wild and will debut in 3-Star raids. Due to its difficulty, you will need to use the best counters for it or team up with other trainers to have a chance of catching it.
The event also features increased spawn rates for Castform and Burmy, which can spawn as their shiny versions of all their different variations. The raid schedule has been updated for the duration of the event, with new Pokémon and raids added.
During the event, you will receive 2x XP for each Pokémon you catch, significantly increasing the amount you can earn during the event. Additionally, there is an increased chance to encounter West Sea Shellos and East Sea Shellos in their shiny forms, depending on the region you are playing in.
The Special Research story A Striking Shadow will be available from the start of the event, allowing you to catch the mythical Pokémon Marshadow if completed. Completing several tasks during the event will also offer rewards, including additional encounters with Clamperl, Espurr, and Morpeko.
Overall, the Stunning Styles event offers a host of bonuses for trainers to make the event worthwhile in Pokémon GO. With Paldean Tauros as its main attraction, this event promises to be an exciting addition to the game’s ever-growing list of events and features.
