Palworld’s second major update since its January launch is here, and it’s a biggie. The new update adds a brand-new island, six times bigger than Sakurajima, with various biomes to explore. It’s also home to several new Pal species, including Predator Pals, which are tougher and more aggressive foes.
The update introduces the first element of the previously announced Terraria crossover, featuring the iconic sword Meowmere. This powerful sword fires projectiles when swung, making it a useful tool for players.
Palworld has expanded its tech tree to Level 60, adding new items, including gear and weapons that require exclusive resources like Chromite and Hexolite Quartz. The update also introduces Hardcore difficulty, where death means permanent loss of progress, as well as Pal expeditions, which allow players to send Pals on resource-gathering missions.
A new building, the Pal Labour Research Lab, enables research into increasing Pal efficiency, unlocking permanent passive effects and exclusive buildings. New buildings have been added across the tech tree, including a Large-Scale Electric Egg Incubator and a Gigantic Furnace.
The update also includes several new weapons, such as the Makeshift SMG and Semi-Auto Rifle, as well as the ability for players to sit on chairs. With so many changes, it’s clear that Palworld is continuing to evolve and improve with each new update.
