Rock band Pantera has postponed a concert in Upstate New York and canceled several other tour dates to mourn the death of legendary Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne. The 76-year-old music icon died on Tuesday.
Pantera, known for playing heavy metal subgenres like thrash metal and groove metal, announced the schedule changes in a statement expressing their grief over Osbourne’s passing. The band performed at several Osbourne events throughout their career, including his solo shows and Ozzfest concerts.
The postponed concert is now scheduled to take place on September 9 at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs. Other rescheduled dates include a performance in New Jersey on September 8. However, three tour dates have been canceled due to the schedule changes.
Fans who purchased tickets for the original dates will have them honored for the new dates. Tickets purchased through third-party resellers may need to be contacted directly by their point of purchase for refunds. The band has also expressed appreciation for fans’ understanding during this difficult time.
