Panthers’ Chuba Hubbard Shines in Loss to Eagles

The Carolina Panthers have once again demonstrated their ability to compete with top-tier teams, but ultimately fell short in a 22-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The game saw a standout performance from running back Chuba Hubbard, who topped the 1,000-yard barrier for the season and earned his first such milestone in four NFL seasons.

Hubbard finished with 26 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown, as the Panthers pushed the Eagles to the limit before ultimately falling behind. Despite being outmatched on paper, the Panthers had several key contributors, including quarterback Bryce Young, who had another solid outing despite one turnover.

The game was marked by several injuries, including rookie Jonathon Brooks leaving with a right knee injury in the first quarter and reserve running back/returner Raheem Blackshear suffering a chest injury. Cornerback Jaycee Horn also departed early in the fourth quarter due to a groin injury.

Saquon Barkley led the Eagles’ rushing effort, setting the franchise record with 124 yards on 20 carries. The Panthers will look to bounce back from this loss and continue their season, despite being out of healthy running backs beyond Chuba Hubbard.
