Panthers Cornerback Jaycee Horn Involved in Car Crash

Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn was involved in a car crash near Bank of America Stadium on Wednesday, but fortunately, neither he nor anyone else was hurt. The accident occurred at the intersection of Mint and Morehead streets outside the stadium. According to team officials, Horn was alone in his vehicle when it happened.

Horn, who signed a four-year, $100 million contract extension recently, evaluated himself with the Panthers’ medical staff after the crash but chose not to participate in Wednesday’s joint practice with the Cleveland Browns. Despite this, he attended the practice according to The Athletic’s Joe Person.

The 25-year-old Horn is a key player for Carolina’s defense and was elected to his first Pro Bowl last season. He played college football at the University of South Carolina before being drafted by the Panthers in 2021. Throughout his NFL career so far, Horn has recorded 153 tackles, five interceptions, and 26 passes defensed across his first 37 games.

The cause of the crash is still unknown.
