The New England Patriots are set to cut their 53-man roster on Tuesday, and several key players’ statuses remain uncertain. The team has projected starters for several key positions, including quarterback (Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs), running back (Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, and Antonio Gibson), wide receiver (Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario “Pop” Douglas, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, Efton Chism III, and Javon Baker), tight end (Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper), offensive line (Will Campbell, Jared Wilson, Garrett Bradbury, Mike Onwenu, Morgan Moses, Marcus Bryant, Ben Brown, Demontrey Jacobs, Sidy Sow, and Caedan Wallace), defensive line (Milton Williams, Christian Barmore, Khyiris Tonga, Joshua Farmer, Keion White), linebackers (Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, Jahlani Tavai, Jack Gibbens, Harold Landry III, K’Lavon Chaisson, Anfernee Jennings, and Bradyn Swinson), cornerbacks (Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III, Marcus Jones, Alex Austin, DJ James, and Kobee Minor), safeties (Jabrill Peppers, Craig Woodson, Jaylinn Hawkins, Kyle Dugger, and Dell Pettus), and specialists (Andy Borregales, Julian Ashby, Bryce Baringer, and Brenden Schooler).
The first seven spots in the starting lineup appear to be solidified, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty surrounding other positions. The Patriots will need to make some tough decisions on Tuesday to finalize their 53-man roster.
