Patriots Scale Back Intensity Amid Training Camp

The New England Patriots held a walkthrough practice on Thursday, with no competitive drills or team periods. However, several players stood out despite the lack of action.

Lan Larison, an undrafted rookie running back, continued to see reps with the starting offense after missing most of the first three days due to the absence of Antonio Gibson. Mack Hollins and Kayshon Boutte also returned to practice and spent time with top wideouts DeMario Douglas and Stefon Diggs.

In the offensive line, Ben Brown remained at center and appeared ahead of Cole Strange, who is now relegated to a depth option after losing his starting spot at left guard. The Patriots will return to work on Friday for their fifth straight practice, but this session will be an exclusive in-stadium event for season ticket holders and Foxborough residents.

Despite the quiet day, these players showed promise and will likely continue to play key roles as training camp progresses.
