Paul Simon, the legendary singer-songwriter behind hits like “The Sound of Silence,” has announced his first official tour in nearly seven years. The 83-year-old musician will embark on a four-month journey through North America, performing at various theatres and concert halls from April to August.
Simon’s ‘A Quiet Celebration Tour’ kicks off with a performance at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on June 16, marking his first time back on stage since his ‘Homeward Bound Farewell Tour’ in 2018. The tour will feature five shows at the Beacon Theatre alone, with additional dates to be announced.
Simon had previously hinted at retiring from music due to hearing loss, but a treatment at Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss has helped him alleviate the issue. His team reports that “when the balance is right, I can hear well,” noting the crucial importance of finding the perfect stage setup.
Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Paul Simon shows starting February 21 on platforms like Vivid Seats. With a 100% buyer guarantee ensuring secure transactions, fans can trust their ticket purchases.
Notably, this tour follows Simon’s recent album release, “Seven Psalms,” which debuted in May 2023 as a single, 33-minute track combining seven parts. The album marked a unique departure from his signature style, with a focus on spiritual and introspective themes.
Simon will be joined by an ensemble of talented musicians, including Caleb Burhans, Jamey Haddad, Gyan Riley, Mick Rossi, and Eugene Friesen, among others. This spring and summer, fans can look forward to catching the iconic singer-songwriter perform his timeless hits alongside new material from “Seven Psalms.”
