Pauline Ferrand-Prevot Wins Paris-Roubaix Women’s Race

French mountain bike champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot has made history by becoming the first Frenchwoman to win the women’s Paris-Roubaix road race. Riding for Visma-Lease a Bike, she broke clear with 15km of the 148.5km route remaining and crossed the line in 3 hours 40 minutes 7 seconds.

Ferrand-Prevot outperformed Italy’s Letizia Borghesi by 58 seconds, while Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes took third place. The 33-year-old Ferrand-Prevot, who won mountain bike cross-country gold at Paris 2024, said she was confident in her team but needed luck and a good performance to succeed.

Despite a fall 53km from the end of the race and illness in the lead-up, Ferrand-Prevot persevered to secure the win. She also mentioned that winning the Tour de France Femmes, taking place from July 26 to August 3, is her main goal.
