During the video tour, the actor revealed that the infamous cage room where his character Joe Goldberg holds victims captive was previously Blair Waldorf’s lavish penthouse on Gossip Girl.
Badgley starred in CW’s teen drama Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012 before You premiered in 2018. He shared a fascinating tidbit about the overlap between the two shows, pointing out that both series were filmed on the same stages over a decade ago.
The set visited by Badgley was also where Mooney’s Bookstore, Joe Goldberg’s workplace, used to be Dan Humphrey’s loft from Gossip Girl. The actor noted that this place holds familiar memories for him, having played Dan Humprey for nearly two decades.
Badgley has opened up about how his character Joe Goldberg impacted his 30s, describing it as a “profound experience.” He reflected on the show’s influence, acknowledging that he’s grown and evolved alongside Joe.
