Penn State Wrestlers Reach Historic 10th All-American Mark

Penn State University has achieved a historic milestone in college wrestling, becoming the second NCAA Division I team to produce 10 All-Americans. The Nittany Lions’ success was marked by three blood round victories on Friday night, solidifying their position in the record books.

Tyler Kasak’s consolation win against Jude Swisher secured his spot on the podium, making him the 10th Penn State wrestler to achieve this feat. Luke Lilledahl and Braeden Davis also posted impressive victories, further cementing the team’s reputation as a wrestling powerhouse.

Seven Nittany Lions reached the podium on Friday afternoon with quarterfinal wins, showcasing the team’s depth and resilience. Top-seeded Lilledahl rebounded from a quarterfinal loss to defeat Nicolar Rivera 7-3 at 125 pounds, while Davis secured a first-period takedown stand in his win against Iowa State’s Evan Frost at 133 pounds.
