The PFL Africa tour made its highly anticipated stop at the Grandwest Arena in Cape Town, South Africa. In a thrilling main event, Costello van Steenis took down champion Johnny Eblen via submission (rear-naked choke) in the fifth round to claim the PFL middleweight title. Dakota Ditcheva secured her 14th consecutive victory with a unanimous decision win over Sumiko Inaba.
The co-main event saw A.J. McKee defeat Akhmed Magomedov via unanimous decision, while Artur Zaynukov and Takeshi Izumi fought to a draw in the heavyweight division. Corey Anderson emerged victorious in his bout against Denis Goltsov with a second-round TKO.
On the preliminary card, Nkosi Ndebele made his mark with a first-round TKO over Mahmoud Atef. Maxwell Djantou Nana won via unanimous decision against Mickael Groguhe, and Boule Godogo secured a split decision victory over Shannon Van Tonder. Justin Clarke also emerged triumphant in his fight against Jashell Ticha Awa due to the latter’s doctor’s advice.
