The man, whose name was not released by his former employer, BCT Partners, was barred from future events at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles’ home stadium.
According to a viral video shared online, the fan repeatedly called the woman a vulgar name and cursed at her during the Eagles’ 22-10 victory over the Packers. The incident occurred when the man was sitting in the upper deck, one row behind the couple, who were both wearing Packers jerseys.
BCT Partners, which is based in East Brunswick, N.J., said it had “decided to part company” with the employee immediately after conducting an internal investigation into his actions at the game. The company described the fan’s behavior as “vile, disgusting, unacceptable and horrific” and condemned it in the strongest possible terms.
The woman and her fiancé, who shared the video online, said that the man attacked them because they were women and not because they had done anything to provoke him. BCT Partners apologized to the woman and committed to gender equity.
