Phishing Scams Target Corporate Executives with Fake FT Offers

A new wave of phishing scams is targeting corporate executives, attempting to lure them into revealing sensitive information or paying for fake access to The Financial Times (FT) online services.

Scammers claim that by registering on the FT website, users can access free articles, personalized newsletters, and exclusive content. However, upon completion of a trial period, victims are asked to pay €69 per month or save 20% by paying a year upfront for full digital access.

The scammers’ goal is to gain access to sensitive information, including login credentials and financial data. Meanwhile, the legitimate FT website does not charge users to access essential digital content on any device.

FT has over a million subscribers who value its quality journalism, but the phishing scams aim to deceive unsuspecting corporate executives into divulging confidential information or falling prey to fake offers.
