Pierce Brown has confirmed that the planned television adaptation of his bestselling novel Red Rising will no longer move forward. The project, which had been in development for several years, was shelved due to the studio not feeling confident enough to continue. Brown revealed he only found out last October that the project wouldn’t be going forward. He shared a common experience among many screen adaptations, where creators are kept waiting for long periods without clear updates.
