As the Pixel 10 series approaches, I’m more focused on one feature than all the rumors surrounding it: fast charging speeds. While everyone’s abuzz about different camera setups and color schemes, I want to know if Google has finally addressed my pet peeve – slow charging.
The Pixel 9 series’ 27W wired charging speed was a disappointment, especially compared to Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra’s 45W fast charging. Fast charging is still relevant until battery tech advances, and I expect more from Google’s flagship phones.
In fact, the latest OnePlus phones with 100W charging have changed my perspective on battery life. If the Pixel 10 Pro XL doesn’t match or surpass this, I’m not sure I’ll consider it a top choice.
However, if Google surprises us with 50W to 60W fast charging, that rumored $100 price hike might be worth it for me and many others who value rapid charging capabilities.
