Plane Fire at Orlando Airport Forces Evacuation

A Delta Air Lines plane caught fire at Orlando International Airport on Monday, forcing the evacuation of 282 passengers and crew members. The Airbus A330 was scheduled to depart for Atlanta when flames broke out in one of its engines.

According to airport officials, there were no reports of injuries during the incident. Maintenance teams will examine the aircraft to determine the cause of the fire. Delta reported that flight crews followed procedures to evacuate the cabin after observing flames in the tailpipe of an engine.

The recent increase in aviation incidents has raised concerns about air travel safety. However, flying remains a safe mode of transportation. Other recent incidents include a plane crashing and flipping over upon landing in Toronto and a Japan Airlines plane clipping a parked Delta plane at the Seattle airport.

The passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft, and the airport’s rescue team responded to put out the fire. An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
