Sony has announced the full lineup of PlayStation Plus Games Catalog additions for December 2024, which includes Sonic Frontiers, Forspoken, and more. A total of 12 games are joining the library, with 11 on the PlayStation Plus Extra tier and one on the Premium Tier through a PSVR2 offering.
The new additions include several classic games, such as Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, which are available now. This month’s releases were part of Sony’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
For December 2024, the new additions include:
– Sonic Frontiers (PS4 + PS5)
– Forspoken (PS5)
– Rabbids: Party of Legends (PS4)
– WRC Generations (PS4 + PS5)
– F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch (PS4 + PS5)
– Jurassic World Evolution 2 (PS4 + PS5)
– Coffee Talk (PS4 + PS5)
– Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly (PS4 + PS5)
– A Space for the Unbound (PS4 + PS5)
– PHOGS (PS4)
– Biped (PS4 + PS5)
– Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge (PSVR2)
The new additions offer a diverse range of gameplay experiences, including open-world adventures, racing simulations, and party games. Sonic Frontiers is a franchise-first “open-zone” gaming experience, while Forspoken promised an open world full of magic but fell flat on release due to its lacklustre story and gameplay.
Other notable additions include Rabbids: Party of Legends, which offers four-player local multiplayer, and WRC Generations, which promises an authentic rally racing simulation. F.I.S.T. Forged in Shadow Torch is a diesel-punk exploratory platformer with intense combat sequences and puzzles to solve. Jurassic World Evolution 2 allows players to manage their own dinosaur park, while Coffee Talk offers friendly conversation and late-night warm drinks.
For fans of virtual reality gaming, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition is available on PSVR2. The game offers an excellent way to showcase the best features of the new headset.
