Pokémon Go is hosting a Vanillite Community Day event on April 27 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., offering players the chance to catch shiny Vanillites with ease. Here’s what you need to know:
During this event, Vanillite will spawn in large numbers with a high chance of appearing shiny. To increase your chances, keep playing throughout the three-hour window.
If you’re short on time or Poké Balls, use an Incense and quickly tap each Vanillite to check for shiny ones. Note that any previously tapped Vanillites will move to your location, making it easier to identify which ones you’ve already checked.
Vanillite’s evolution, Vanilluxe, will learn the charged move Avalanche during this event. If you miss out, you can evolve Vanillish into Vanilluxe during a Community Day weekend event in December or use an Elite TM.
Unfortunately, Vanilluxe and its pre-evolutions have no space in the high-intensity Pokémon Go content. Invest Stardust wisely if you’re not planning to participate in raids or PvP.
To make the most of this event, take advantage of the following bonuses:
* Triple XP for catching Pokémon
* Doubled candy for catching Pokémon
* Doubled chance for level 31+ trainers to get XL candy from catching Pokémon
* Extended Incense and Lure Module durations
* Special photobombs from Vanillite when taking snapshots
* One additional special trade
* Halved Stardust cost for trading
Additionally, complete “Community Day Continued” Timed Research until May 4 to earn more Vanillite and increased shiny rates. Mega Evolve Glalie or Abomasnow during this event to score extra Vanillite Candy per catch.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to snag some shiny Vanillites and participate in the fun!
