Pope Francis’ health remains stable, Vatican officials announced on Sunday evening. The Holy Father has not needed non-invasive mechanical ventilation but requires supplemental oxygen. His condition has remained unchanged despite a recent isolated bronchospasm, and he does not have a fever.
The Pope participated in Holy Mass this morning, surrounded by caregivers who have been with him since his hospitalization on February 14th. This is the first time he has left his bed to participate in a religious service during his stay.
While there are no direct consequences from last Friday’s bronchospasm, the risk of further deterioration remains. The Pope will continue to receive medical care and prayers from around the world as he recovers from his illness.
