A potential leak has surfaced for a new Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch 2, ahead of its reveal at the upcoming April 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. The leak comes from an X user known as Nash Weedle, who tweeted out a series of emojis that have been interpreted by many to mean “Fire Emblem” and a reference to the Nintendo Switch 2.
The tweet features a fire emoji 🔥, followed by the Fleur-de-lis emoji 🌿, and then the number 2. Many believe the fire emoji is a hint at Fire Emblem, while others think it could be related to Saints Row or Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 due to its presence in the Fleur-de-lis emoji.
The leak leaves room for speculation, making definitive claims impossible at this time. However, given the long-awaited release of Fire Emblem Engage two years ago and the six-year gap since Fire Emblem: Three Houses, it’s not hard to believe a new mainline game is on the horizon. The possibility of a remake, remaster, or spin-off like 2022’s Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes adds fuel to this speculation.
